Stolze and GreenV Mexico exceed expectations in Querétaro
At the end of May 2026, a new chapter was written in the Mexican horticultural sector. During the latest phase of the Hortigen expansion (16 hectares), GreenV companies Stolze, Voshol and GreenV Mexico delivered the complete technical installations, achieving a result that exceeded expectations: planting started two weeks ahead of schedule. A unique achievement for large scale greenhouse projects in Mexico.
The client described the installation process as “like a Swiss clock.” A powerful compliment to the precision, tight coordination and technical quality that define this project.
Hortigen and Stolze: a partnership with a strong track record
Hortigen has deeply embedded the sustainable cultivation of healthy, high quality food into its vision. In Querétaro, sweet peppers are grown on a large scale, supported by modern greenhouse technology and an integrated installation approach.
The collaboration between Stolze and Hortigen dates back to 2011, when the first greenhouse phase (H1) was realised.
Fifteen years later, everything comes together while at the same time something new is taking shape: the strong emergence of local execution, subcontracting and installation work in Mexico, led with the same precision and discipline and by the same technical supervisor as during the original project.
Efficient execution with a strong local foundation
Execution was led by GreenV Mexico, which coordinated the full installation and implementation.
The key to success lies in the combination of Dutch knowledge and technology, local expertise and close collaboration with all involved parties. This resulted in a well organised and efficiently executed project.
As Lorenzo de Jong (Technical Director GreenV Mexico) explains:
“Once again, a phase completed on a larger scale and with even greater efficiency, with the same passion and precision as in 2011, now strengthened by years of local presence and strong collaboration with regional partners.”
Integrated installations as the foundation
Within this project, Stolze delivered the following technical installations:
These systems are seamlessly integrated, ensuring that all components work perfectly together. The result is a greenhouse environment where sustainability, efficiency and productivity come together.
Recognition that matters
The clients,
Eduardo Xacur, General Director and Founder
Jesús Cota, Managing Director
Juan Galván, Technical Director
describe the project as an exceptional joint achievement and highlight the craftsmanship of all teams involved. It confirms what truly matters, regardless of the choice of greenhouse builder: GreenV Mexico delivers.
GreenV Mexico expresses its strong appreciation for Hortigen’s trust.
With this project, we take another important step in the development of large scale, high quality horticulture in Mexico, made possible by trust, craftsmanship and the training of local subcontractors and technicians who will continue to strengthen this growth.
