Lighting plan

Lighting plan in greenhouse horticulture

‘What is the optimal lighting for my greenhouse and crop?’ Good question! The answer lies in the combination and balance of different factors. Important parameters are the intensity and amount of light, the quality and diffusion, but also the energy consumption and of course the desired crop growth. In addition, there are the needs of the grower: what are your requirements? Together we look for the optimal balance between maximum efficiency and minimum energy consumption.

Stolze has been a specialist in horticultural technology since 1969. Over the years lighting, or grow light, has become an increasingly important part of that technology. Much more is known now about the effect lighting has on the crop. The need to use less energy is also increasing. Stolze grows along with these developments, together with our partners.

Examples of lighting plans in horticulture

A lighting plan is always unique as it is customized for specific needs. However, you can find inspiration from similar crops and greenhouses where growers have used a lighting plan from Stolze as a starting point for their greenhouse lighting systems.

“A lighting plan forces you to carefully consider the required lighting in your greenhouse. We do not make assumptions; instead, we thoroughly examine various factors. Later, if there are changes in the greenhouse, making adjustments is much easier when a lighting plan is already in place."
