In the heart of the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk lies a unique greenhouse installation. Vertify, the leading knowledge and research centre for greenhouse horticulture, works here every day on innovation and sustainability in an environment designed and equipped in part by Stolze.

In 2017, the first greenhouse in Naaldwijk was built, for which Stolze delivered the complete electrical installation, water installation and climate computer. Less than a year later, an ultramodern greenhouse was added, fully tailored to the needs of Vertify. Stolze supplied a comprehensive solution. The water installation is fully automated and includes liquid fertilisers, an automatic tray filler and a dosing system, all placed on an elevated double floor for efficient routing of pipelines. As a result, every test compartment can be supplied with the correct irrigation and nutrient mix. The system is also circular due to the disinfection and reuse of return water flows.

The electrical installation was designed specifically for maximum flexibility. With four central control panels and a Priva climate control system, forty compartments can be managed individually. It is unique that multiple control systems are integrated within a single greenhouse. This allows Vertify to compare systems and gives students the opportunity to work with different climate conditions inside the all‑climate greenhouse.

The result is a greenhouse that is technologically advanced, sustainable and ready for the future. The installation still meets current requirements for water management, light screening and hygiene. Every year, thousands of visitors to the World Horti Center, ranging from students to international delegations, benefit from this innovative setup which, thanks in part to Stolze, serves as both a learning environment and a source of inspiration.
